He was a demon who dreamed of a Star.. She was a Star who dreamed of Falling..

About This Quote

This quote, which is from the poem “The Star” by Rumi, speaks to is our desire for love and romance. We all have a desire to be loved and to be in love, even if we are not in a relationship. In our minds, we think of romantic scenarios where we are the one who loves someone else. We are the ones who are loved and loved back.

While that is often how it should be, reality does not always reflect that ideal. Romantic love is more complicated than that. It is complicated because people are not always in tune with what other people need.

As Rumi points out, not everyone needs to be loved-in the way they need to be loved-but everyone needs to be loved in their own way.
